Austrian-Slovenian HPC Meeting – ASHPC24

Austrian-Slovenian HPC Meeting 2024 – ASHPC24 | 10 – 13 June 2024 | Seeblickhotel Grundlsee (Austria)

Austrian-Slovenian HPC Meeting 2024 – ASHPC24 continued the tradition of the annual Austrian HPC Meetings, held 2015 – 2020, and the Austrian-Slovenian HPC Meetings, held 2021 – 2023: Bringing together scientists and technicians with a background and interest in supercomputing.

ASHPC24 kicked off on 10 June with an internal meeting for members of European high-performance computing (HPC) centers involved in joint activities within the EuroCC project. The meeting was dedicated to discussing industry outreach and planning new training events in Europe.

The public part of ASHPC24 was held on 11-13 June. The program focused on various aspects of supercomputing applications in academia and industry with topics ranging from system engineering, life sciences and climate research to artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

132 participants from 11 countries attended the meeting this year, bringing multiple perspectives on HPC-related topics and providing an overview of the rapidly evolving HPC landscape. We thank all the participants for attending ASHPC24 and look forward to continuing productive discussions next year at ASHPC25 in Slovenia.

ASHPC24 was organized by EuroCC Austria - National Competence Centre for Supercomputing, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, Austria and EuroCC Slovenia in cooperation with the Vienna Scientific Cluster (VSC), Austria; Research Area Scientific Computing in Innsbruck, Austria, and the Slovenian consortium for high performance computing (SLING).
